PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Iron

I had to really think about iron.  I finally came up with the idea to use Ten Second Studio VerDay paint.

I die cut an opening in the iron paper and put a background i made a while ago behind it.  I die cut a leaf stem and attached a hello that I used some gilding flakes on.

PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Tin & Aluminum

I really had a hard time with this one.  I had so many ideas, which one to do.

I found the silver tape in my stash.  I have it in 3 different sizes but only used the 2 smallest.  I used silver Nuvo gilding flakes on the thanks and the center of the flowers.

PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Bronze

This was fun.  I used embossing powder for the bronze.

After I colored the flowers and attached the thanks the card still needed something.  I rubbed a VersaMark ink pad on the edges of my card and used the same embossing powder.

PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Leather

This class was about faux leather.  I did this technique years ago but had forgotten about it.

As you can see I made a birthday card.  I think it would be a good one for a man.

Thanks for looking.

PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Wood

This class was to make a card with wood.  The teacher used an embossing folder for the wood element.  So I did also.

I really had fun with this card.  I know I covered up a lot of the wood but it's still there.

Thanks for looking.

PAPERTREY INK STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017 - Paper

I really like Papertrey Ink's stamps and dies so I thought I'd follow along with their Stamp-A-Faire.  They are doing 10 mini classes because it's their 10 anniversary.

The first class was about paper.  We were to use scraps to make a card.

As you can see I die cut stars from a Papertrey Ink die and glues them to a navy card.  I then added the sentiment toward the bottom right.  This was an easy card to make.

Thanks for looking.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 6

The last day of class was using additional ideas to make cards using rainbow colors.  I made 2 cards for this homework.  The first one is using Nuvo crystal Drops.  I only have a few so I colored the white with distress inks.

For my second card I used washi tape.  I really like this card.

This was a great  class.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 5

Day 5 was about using stenciling mediums.  I really liked this one!  To start I used Distress Inks to create the rainbow.  I then used a stencil and pearlescent mousse.

It's really shinny in person.  I will be making more cards using this technique.

Thanks for stopping by.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 4

Today was about using watercolor to make a rainbow card.  I was really stressed out making this one.  I don't do very well with watercolors.  For this one I did the smooshing technique.

This is a 4 bar card.  It's smaller that an A2.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 3

Today we were to use paper to create our rainbow card.  I die cut circles from paper.  They needed something so I stamped three of the animal from Jane's Doodles Smile stamp set.  I also used the saying from this set.  I die cut the word smile 4 times and stacked them together.

I think this turned out fun.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 2

For day 2 we were to use stamps to create a rainbow card.  I made a striped background.  I used a set of stamps from Simon Says Stamp and Distress Inks.   Here's my card.

OCC Rainbow Maker - Day 1

Yes, I'm taking another class at Online Card Classes.  This one is about making cards with rainbow colors.  Day 1 was to use inks.  Here is my card

I used Distress Inks then put down a stencil and sprayed with water.  Really easy to do.
