Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 8

 Day 8 was Santa Card.

As you can see I didn't do a Santa.  Instead I made an Joy Bulb Card.  I couldn't believe the background turned out just like I wanted.

This was the last day of class.  I have really enjoyed getting to know the watercolors I have.  I look forward to the next Online Card Class.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 7

Day 7 was Words & Typography.

this was another fun card to make.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 6

 Day 6 was Dramatic Backgrounds.

Making the background was fun.  I don't like the snowflakes.  I think I should have used a smaller brush.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 5

Day 5 was all about Plaid Patterns.

Making the plaid pattern was really fun.  I make several but didn't like the colors.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 4

Day 4 was Large Tree Card.  Again we were given a PDF to use if we wanted.

I masked off the border and tree with masking fluid, painted the background, removed the masking fluid and painted the tree.  I really enjoyed making this card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 3

Day 3 was Simple Trees.  We were given some PDFs to trace.

I chose this tree.  I think it needs something but I'm not sure what.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 2

Day 2 was more masking.  We used masking fluid today.

I had a hard time keeping the circle round.  After I removed the masking fluid the pencil lines would not erase cleanly so I used the dark watercolor to hide my drawing.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Watercolor Christmas Day 1

Day 1 was simple masked shapes.

I used masking tape to define the images.

Thanks for stopping by.

I left plenty of white space.

Thanks for stopping by.

MFT Summer Camp 2020

 Day 4's topic was Ombre.

It doesn't look it but I did use 3 different colors of card stock to make this card.

Thanks for stopping by.

MFT Summer Camp 2020 Day 3

Symmetry was the topic for day 3.

If you were to fold my card in half you would have the same thing in the same place on both sides.

This was a fun on for me.

Thanks for stopping by.

MFT Summer Camp 2020

For day 2 was about rainbows colors.

I used a stencil to create my deconstructed rainbow.

Thanks for stopping by.

MFT Summer Camp 2020 Day 1

I really like doing a good challenge so I'm joining the My Favorite Things Summer Camp 2020.

Today we were to make a card with a visual triangle.

I think I have the visual triangle.  What do you think?

Spring Card Camp day 20

Window Weaving was the lesson for day 20.

I had fun with this technique.  I could have made lots more cards but just had to stop.

This was our last day of camp.  I know I will miss it.  I have looked so forward to seeing what we would be doing everyday.

Spring Card Camp Day 19

Day 19 was Must-Try Monoprinting.

I tried this technique several times and these were the only ones I felt turned out.

Spring Card Camp Day 18

Day 18 was Colorful Abstract Backgrounds.

As you can see, I made 5 cards.  I couldn't decide which background I liked best so I just used all of them.

Online Card Camp Day 17

Lining Up Pieces with Background Dies was our class on day 17.

I used Distress Oxides to color a few pieces of paper.  I then die cut the colored paper and a piece of white paper. I attached the white to another piece of Cardstock.  I added a double layer of foam tape to the coral squares.  The yellow was next, it has no foam tape.  Lastly the blue was added with 1 layer of foam tape.  I die cut the hello and stamped the sentiment and attached them to the card.  There is a lot of dimension.

Spring Card Camp Day 12

Geometric Patterns with Basic Shapes was the lesson for day 12.

I uses a diamond shaped die to make the pattern with.  For me the hardest part was getting all the diamonds straight.  I don't think they are very straight but I really did try.

Spring Card Camp Day 11

Day 11 was  Colorful Cards without Coloring.

I do like to color but this is a lot faster, especially if I'm in a hurry.

Spring Card Camp Day 10

Our lesson was Letter Substitution for day 10.

I chose to substitute the U in hugs for the koala bear.

Spring Card Class Day 9

Day 9 was about Cloud Gazing. Daniel West said he liked to look at the clouds to see shapes.  We were to look at stamps and dies in a different way.  Here is what I came up with.

I used background dies for the grass and flowers.  The stems are an old Spellbinder die.  I free hand cut the birds as it needed something.

I know when I look at my stamps I do see things other than what they are but I really had a problem with that today.

Spring Card Camp

Today is day 8, Faux Dip Die.

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Spring Card Camp Day 7

For day 7 we did Vellum Overlays.  We were to cut vellum with a frame or background die and attach it to a card.

I inked the card with 2 different color yellows and attached the vellum die cut that I stamped on.

I usually don't think to emboss the colored cardstock.

Sunday, May 10, 2020

I used light colors to try to achieve the vintage twist.  I'm not sure about this card.

Spring Card Camp 2 Day 2

Today we learned Masking + Ink.

We made strips.  Here I masked off an area and inked it, then moved the mask and did another area until I was happy.  I stamped the flower and sentiment and the card was finished.

Spring Card Camp 2 Day 1

Online Card Class has another card camp that started yesterday.  Here is the card I made.

Our lesson was marvelous Masking.  This card was more fun to make than I first thought.

Spring Card Camp Day 19

Day 19 was Second Generation Stamping.

Again I made several cards using this technique but most of the second generation stamping was so light I could hardly see it.

Spring Card Camp Day 18

Day 18 was Mask & Ink

I really like how these turned out. I had to stamp the background as I didn't have any paper I thought went with the mask and inked panel.

Spring Card Camp Day 17

Day 17 was Stretching Word Dies

I made several cards but liked these the best.

Spring Card Camp Day 16

Day 16 was Impressionistic Copics

I love using my Comics just not this way.

Spring Card Camp Day 15

Day 15 was Color Smooshing & Leftovers

I really liked this class.  The top cards were done with watercolor and the bottom were distress inks.
I have used this technique a lot in the past and it was nice to use it again

Spring Card Camp Day 14

Day 14 was all about Alphabet Cards.

We die cut a word, used the panel the word was cut from, used the die cuts and stenciled.

Spring Card Camp 13

Day 13 was Word Dies

I die cut the word Thanks from the bottom card.  I used distress ink on a card and pop the die cut panel up.  I then used the die cut word on the other card.

Spring Card Camp Day 12

Day 12 was DIY Ink Pad

After stamping with the DIY ink pad we were to make backgrounds with the ink pad.  From the background I die cut the leaf image.

Spring Card Camp Day 11

Day 11 was All the Rainbows.

We made a rainbow, then cut it in half to make 2 cards.

Spring Card Camp ay 10

Day 10 was Glitter Gel.

I really struggled with this one.  Most of my glitter gel has dried up.  I did find this that worked.

Spring Card Camp Day 9

Day 9 was Inking Stencils.

Spring Card Camp Day 8

Day 8 was Simple Shaker Cards.

I used distress ink for the backgrounds.  Again I used 2 different dies.  The top card is a shaker card.

Spring Card Camp Day 7

Day 7 was Double Word Dies

Since I don't have any words dies that have a shape around them I had to use 2 different dies.
I made the background using a stencil and distress ink.

Spring Card Camp Day 6

Day 6 was Pieced Cards.
